Easter: The Defining Week
Monday, March 29---Men’s Breakfast
Travis men are encouraged to invite friends, co-workers and neighbors to join them for an Easter Breakfast on Monday, March 29 at 6:30 a.m. in the South Complex Dining Room. Tickets will be available on Sunday March 14 and 21. The cost is $5 per person, or you may purchase a table for $40. Dr. Michael Dean is the speaker.
Tuesday, March 30---A Wedding Feast Ladies, you are cordially invited to A Wedding Feast, an Easter luncheon, on Tuesday, March 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the South Complex Dining Room. The luncheon is complementary, a gift to the women of Travis in celebration of God’s gift to us. Karen Sanders will be the speaker. Childcare is available. Make your reservations for lunch and childcare in your Sunday School department or by calling the church office (817.924.4266).
Wednesday, March 31---Judas: A Service of Scripture and Drama
On Wednesday, March 31, the Music Ministry of Travis Avenue Baptist Church will present Judas: A Service of Scripture and Drama at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Thursday, April 1---The Passover Meal On Thursday, April 1 in the Travis Sanctuary, an explanation and demonstration of The Passover Meal will be presented by Jim Sibley, Director of the Pasche Institute of Jewish Studies and a former Southern Baptist missionary to Israel. The presentation is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. It will be followed by an observance of the Lord’s Supper.
Friday, April 2---Good Friday Community Service Travis Avenue Baptist Church will present a Good Friday service for those who participate in our Benevolence and Community Ministries on Friday, April 2 at 9:30 in the Sanctuary. Doors will open at 8:30. Following the service, groceries will be handed out in the South Complex. Volunteers are needed. Saturday, April 3---Easter Vigil Travis’ Student and College ministries will observe an Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 3 from 10:00 p.m. till midnight in the Youth Building.

Disciple U
Travis Avenue Baptist Church will start new adult discipleship classes, called Disciple U, on Sunday nights at 6:00 pm in the Welcome Center 201-204. Starting February 14, Dr. Kevin Kennedy will lead The Doctrine of Salvation and Dr. Craig Blaising will lead through the Psalms. Beginning February 21, Dr. Jason Deusing will lead The Life of David.
GriefShare February 28-June 6
3:30-5:30 pm
New sessions of GriefShare will begin February 28 at 3:30 pm in Room C-113. With GriefShare, you will learn to walk the journey of grief and be supported on the way. Travis' GriefShare support group is led by Julie and Don Ward. The sessions are open to anyone who has lost a loved one.Registration Fee: $12.00 (includes workbook) . Man Of God
Beginning February 10, a new men's Bible study led by Dr. Michael Dean will be held Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15 in Welcome Center 201-204. A Chick-Fil-A meal will be provided for $5. The study will be from the book, A Man of God, by Jack Graham. What does it mean to be a Man of God? Come hear this straightforward instruction about God's requirements to follow Him and how that involves integrity, family, and ministry. Bring your friends to this exciting study for men of all ages.
Heart of the Home
Heart of the Home is a Wednesday night offering from the Travis Women's Ministry designed for young women. The group meets weekly at 6:15 pm in Room B-110. Jan Smith will serve as facilitator.
Dr. David Downey is currently teaching a fifteen-week series entitled "Baptist Doctrines." The series will cover doctrines such as the Scriptures, the Trinity, God's purpose of grace, the church, and the ordinances-all from our distinctive Baptist viewpoint. Join him each Wednesday at 6:30 PM, in room C-214.
